Hi all,

I am a registered nurse. I guide/ tutor nursing students for their Nursing Assignments/ Essays/ Case studies/ Thesis etc. in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane since 10 years.

I am putting here one of my work.

How will your understanding of interprofessional practice (IP) influence the way you approach your negotiation with Bill?

The interprofessional practice (IP) is a collaborative practice that is necessary in social work when one works with other professionals from social work or other industries or fields. Bill does not seem to be from social work profession and has different views and perspectives and I being a social worker need to collaborate with him to enhance quality of service and make a contribution for joined-up care. Bill is a bit in condescending tone, but at the same time he also appreciates my passion to support service for adolescent girls. This is a good sign of applying IP while approaching the negotiation with Bill. It will help in making better decision-making. I need to negotiate with Bill in next meeting by collaborating and accommodating as needed during the negotiation process (Fraser et al, 2018).

My style of negotiation under IP approach will be collaborating and accommodating. With collaboration, I will be using honest and open communication with key focus on finding creative solutions to satisfy me and Bill at a mutual level. I need to brainstorm in advance to be strong during presentation in next meeting (Rubin et al., 2018). During negotiation, even if Bill will be rigid, I will work on exploring novel and new solutions with him that can also prioritize adolescent girls and they being the victim of domestic violence. I will be assertive as well as cooperative at the same time with his negotiation approach. I will be presenting my views and ideas with evidence and solid explanation (Fraser et al, 2018).
